In 1994, Plum Creek Villages became the site of the Parade of Homes, an annual event showcasing the latest trends in custom home construction. The Parade set an attendance record for this event, drawing over 150,000 people. Following the success of the Parade of Homes, Mr. Chen completed his first custom home development called Players Crossing, which included 22 custom home sites. Today, Players Crossing remains the pinnacle of Plum Creek Villages, with homes ranging in price from $700,000 to over $1,000,000. In addition to developing a number of custom home communities, John Chen also created his own construction company, Casablanca Homes, which built several custom homes within the Plum Creek Villages community.
